Who we are

Halden Commerce is a UK-based marketing studio. We are the “controller” of the personal information described here, which means we decide how it is used. You can contact us about anything in this policy at hello.haldencommerce@outlook.com.

What we collect

When you fill in our audit request form or email us, we collect:

• your name and email address
• your store's web address and platform
• anything else you choose to tell us in your message

We don't ask for, and you shouldn't send us, payment details or passwords through the form.

Why we use it

We use your details to prepare your free audit, reply to you and, if you become a client, to deliver our work. Our lawful basis is your consent (which you give when you tick the box on our form) and, for clients, the contract between us. We won't add you to a mailing list or sell or share your details for anyone else's marketing.

Who else sees it

We use a small number of trusted services to run our business, such as our email provider and the service that receives our website form. They only process your details on our behalf. Some of these providers may store data outside the UK; where they do, they use legal safeguards approved under UK data protection law.

How long we keep it

If you don't become a client, we delete your details within 12 months of our last contact. Client records are kept for up to 6 years, as required for UK tax and accounting.

Cookies

This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. It stores one small note in your browser for the length of your visit so the opening animation only plays once. It contains no personal information.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw your consent at any time — just email hello.haldencommerce@outlook.com. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
